Job description:
Responsibilities:
- Develop/Port/Debug/Program embedded SW/FW features (mainly in C)
- Develop/Port device drivers
- Wi-Fi 11bgn (+ WPS) development/debugging
- W11bgn (+WPS) certification
- Perform feasibilities / provide estimates on expected workload
- Maintenance/bugfixes/Feature development, based on specifications/standards
- Review specifications
- Test the SW features on the embedded platform
- Memory/Performance/Cost optimizations
- Assure SW Quality and timeline according agreed guidelines
- Perform/Document Code review
- Documents implementation into Design documentation
- Cooperate with WIFI suppliers (HW/SW)
- You report to the Wi-Fi Project leader
Profile:
Education:
Master in Electronics/ICT or by experience
Experience:
> 3 years of embedded SW development
Technical skills:
- Embedded SW development (kernel and user space)
- Good C knowledge (programming experience)
- Debugging on target (Lauterbach/gdb)
- (Soft) RealTime SW development
- Linux embedded knowledge
- Networking Stack / Internet knowledge
- SW versioning (preferably Clearcase)
- Clearquest
- For some functions, 3G UMTS dongle development is a pro
Language:
Masters the English language (spoken and written)
Key competences:
- Team player: responsible, flexible, creative
- Result driven: communicative in multi-cultural environment
- Eager to learn (Wi-Fi - 11bgn, ...)
