Your role:
- As a member of the test team, you contribute to the development of the new generation of gateway applications and services. Your primary task is to assure the quality of the software (user applications, device drivers or kernel modules).
- You make use of state-of-the-art tools: test tools including test automation, for which you may be doing a part of the script development.
- You develop test strategies in close collaboration with systems architects, software designers, other test engineers and project managers. You aim to approximate customer configurations as accurately as possible in a lab environment.
- You may be involved in one or more projects, depending on your skill level and experience.
Your profile:
- You hold a Masters degree in Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology.
- You are a team player, with excellent communication skills.
- You are fluent in English (writing and speaking); speaking Dutch and French is a plus.
- You have an analytical mind and great problem solving skills.
- You can work autonomously.
- You are stress-resistant.
- Willingness to travel is a plus.
- Experience and/or know-how in the following areas is considered a plus:
o TTCN
o Interface technologies: Ethernet, USB, xDSL, WLAN, ATM
o Networking: TCP/UDP/IP, PPP, NAT, QoS, DHCP, DNS, Firewall
o Management: TR-069, SNMP, TR-064/UPnP, SQL DB
o VOIP: SIP, MGCP, H323, VOIP DSP drivers, DeCT, UMTS, GPRS
o Multimedia content delivery: UPnP AV, Samba, IP-TV, DLNA
o Web 2.0 technologies: AJAX Frameworks (BackBase, ExtJS, Prototype, DOJO, GWT), Service Side Scripting (LUA Script, PHP), Standards (HTML5/CSS2, XML, XSLT, XPATH, JavaScript)
