To strengthen our Oracle Practice we are in search of Oracle Database Administrators (DBA).
As an Oracle DBA Specialist you are responsible for the technical management of Oracle databases. You recommend implementations, you ensure an optimal availability and performance of Oracle database by implementing thought monitoring and security, backup and recovery procedures. You are responsible for the daily management of the database as well as the analysis and resolution of problems and incidents.
You will also collect and analyse requirements and adaptations to data models. You are operative within projects which have to do with Oracle databases. The activities exist from operational DBA, project DBA or DBA consultancy tasks.
As Senior DBA Specialist you are involved in further developing the Competence Centre and coaching colleagues. The projects are implemented both within Logica premises and at customer locations.
Function requirements
- University or higher non-university education in IT or related study direction with a considerable ICT component
- minimum 3 years and preferably 5 years experience in a similar function
- wide experience as a DBA specialist. Experiences with non-Oracle databases (SQLServer, MySQL) are a plus
- experience on several Operating systems (e.g. Linux, Windows, HP-UX, AIX, Solaris, OpenVMS) and knowledge of SQL, PL/Sql and XML
- knowledge of Oracle Database 10g and/or 11g, Oracle Database Options
- knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control / Database Control (*)
- knowledge of Oracle RMAN and Data Guard (*)
- knowledge of Oracle Real Application Clusters (*)
- experience with other Oracle products or components is a plus (GoldenGate, Weblogic, ...) (*)
- strong analytical capacity, result-oriented, flexible and pro active
- you are able to operate both independently and in team
- you have good social and communicative skills and a good control of the Dutch, French and English language.
