Tasks
As Legato Networker specialist you will be joining the Integration Service Department. You will give support to presales, for architectural design and implement solutions in larger customer environment. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Installation, integration and operation of backup environments, more specifically backup configurations using EMC NetWorker.
- Migration and upgrades of existing configurations
- Optimization of existing environments : scripting, job-scheduling, reporting
- Technical project management (planning activities, communication with customers and internal colleagues)
- Coaching customers on EMC Networker
- Documentation of implemented configurations
- Supporting the presales phase (architectural and design work)
- Presenting solutions to customers
Experience/expertise
- 3- 5 years similar and relevant experience with a storage management environment in combination with different operating systems.
- Experience with process based delivery (incident, problem & change management)
- Good and recent knowledge of Legato Networker, preferably also experience in implementation and upgrade projects and with DPA
- Good knowledge and experience in management
- Good knowledge and experience in tape libraries and Virtual tape libraries
- Windows & Unix system administrator skills; mainly from a storage integration perspective
- Experience with making offers and giving presentations
- Preferably knowledge of Scripting (Shell, Perl)
Education and certifications
Master degree or Bachelor in computer sciences or equivalent
Linguistic Skills
Very good knowledge of English and Dutch, good knowledge of French (written and oral)
