Your Role:
You will work in the team "Mainframe Middleware and Frameworks" who are owner of mainframe Middleware including CICS, MQ Series, compilers, Frameworks and linked infrastructure.
Specifically, Frameworks are put in place to optimize application development by rationalizing their integration in the Euroclear infrastructure. Frameworks can translate into API, code and guidelines to streamline the usage of Middleware systems and functionality.
In terms of responsibility, we
- design new solutions and review existing implementation,
- provide expertise, training, guidelines and support to application developers,
- build, test and maintain our Middleware,
- support our Middleware in test/dev/production environments as 2nd and 3rd level of support,
You will be involved in the mainframe framework development and/or Middleware system engineering assignments. While our domain is mostly IBM mainframe oriented, we also cover distributed platforms like Unix (AIX/SUN) and Windows.
Your Profile:
- technical skills: PL/1, CICS, DB2, VSAM, Cobol, MVS, MQ Series, SQL, Telon, REXX, JCL, ISPF
- Good team spirit, ability to work together with different teams located in different locations (Brussels, Paris and London);
- Flexibility and availability to participate in watch duty role (1week out of 4)
- Willing to learn new tools and to share the experience
- Commitment to delivery and increasing own expertise
- Good knowledge of English
