Job description:- As a test engineer on the EIServer® platform you will be responsible for developing and executing the tests required to ensure the quality of the product. These tests may range from fully automated scripts, fitting in a regression test framework, to manually executed scenarios.
- Senior profiles will also be expected to drive the test effort as a test manager on the EIServer® platform and be responsible for defining and coordinating the testing phase during the development. This includes setting up a test plan for the product features and participating/coordinating in the execution of those tests.
- The development itself is governed by an Agile development methodology, consisting of an iterative approach, loosely based on the SCRUM methodology.
- The EIServer® platform is currently going through a transition of technology, moving to a J2EE application with a web front end, as such the tests will focus on Java, J2EE core logic as well as web UI testing.
Qualifications : - The candidate should be a software tester with a Master or Bachelor degree in engineering or software development, or equivalent through experience.
- The candidate should have experience in the testing of complex enterprise applications.
- Experience with J2SE or J2EE applications, including related technologies such as JMS, JAAS, ESB, ?. Preferably using JDK 1.5, as well as EJB3, is considered a plus
- Experience with development of applications on top of Oracle 10g database is considered a plus.
- Experience with energy metering or the energy market at large is considered a plus.
- We are looking for both senior and junior profiles.

- The candidate should be very passionate about testing and quality assurance, aiming to deliver the best possible product.
- The candidate should have a can-do attitude, able to quickly analyse the challenges and persisting in the face of problems. He or she should think autonomous and result driven, able to closely cooperate with team.
- A very good knowledge of Dutch and English is a must, of French is a definite plus.
- A proven aptitude for methodical problem solving, a strong attention to detail and the ability to work well in a close-knit team.
