Gedreven IBM mainframe Cobol/DB2/CICS expert

For maintainability and integration with new technologies (SOA, Web Services) all CICS/Assembler applications will be rewritten into PL/I applications. I'm responsible for the entire development traject - conversion, testing - and Put Into Production.

Additionally I give support in the use of DB2 databases. Customer has just switched from DATACOM DBMS towards a DB2 V9.1 DBMS and has not that much Know-how of DB2.        

1. Implementing softwareupdatings in the application used to process new creditrequests.
This application contains a backend part, running on OS390 and using CICS operating system and are developped with COBOLprograms using a DB2 DBMS. The frontend part is a Thin Client, only the screenhandling is done by this frontend and is developped in JAVA running upon a UNIX .  The communication between front- and back-end is done using Mqseries, IBM Websphere.

2. Since the first of june 2003, all Banks are obliged to do a consultation on the central individual  credit register  (CKP/CCP with NBB) when processing a new creditrequest for a specific customer. Together with the users of the creditapplication, I have done an analysis of the consultationprocess and afterwards also developped and implemented the CKP consultation. The CKPconsultation is part of the creditapplication (see section 1) and is triggered from the backendpart, via Mqseries there is sended a consultationrequest/message to NBB in XMLformat. The NBBresponse is also received as an XMLmessage from NBB and via Mqseries communicated to the credits backendapplication in which the XMLmessage is splitup in datasegments and sended to the frontend, which handles the visualisation of the result of the CKPconsultation.      

3. Applicationmanagement - Requirements gathering, Functional Desing, Technical Design and Implementation - of the application used to process new creditrequests (See 1 for technical application environment) also including the "score"process : riskmanagement and calculate a budgetanalysis, also using data received from synchroon consultations done with external parties (NBB CKP/ENR database, EURODB/GRAYDON). The EURODB/GRAYDON consultation is developped using the EAImodel/XMLschemes. Messaging itself is done using MQSERIES.

4. Credit application management shall be taken over by people out of India. Done the needed knowledge transfer and coaching of those technical designers/implementors.
