Employed at Coca-Cola Enterprises Services as Project Manager, hierarchically reporting into the Director for Shared Application Services in the United States of America (global CCE), functionally reporting into several Program Directors.

 

 

Responsibilities: implementation of innovative SAP projects across Europe 

  • Implementation of Supply Network Collaboration as a replacement for the existing Vendor Managed Inventory system in the Netherlands. This was a pilot for worldwide implementations at CCE.
  • Implementation of Vistex as a replacement for existing systems to follow up Customer Marketing Agreements in Europe, as part of a multiyear project to migrate systems in the area of Revenue Growth Management to SAP.
2005 - 2007   Project Manager

Employed at Coca-Cola Enterprises Services as Project Manager, reporting to the Manager Corporate Applications Portfolio for Europe (Benelux, France and Great-Brittain)

 

 

Key responsibilities: managing the 'European Banking Transmission Standardization' project for CCE Europe.

  • implementation of a single solution to enable the approval, routing, conversion and transmission of payment instructions to and the receipt of statements from the different banks that CCE has a partnership with in Europe, replacing the multiple proprietary local systems in the different countries
  • integration of this solution with existing treasury (Sungard's Quantum) and accounting (SAP FICO) systems

 

 

The project involved working with the following stakeholders/teams:

  • European Treasury department in Brussels
  • Finance departments in Europe (London, Brussels/Rotterdam and Paris)
  • Project manager from Sungard (external solution provider) in London
  • Sungard's software development team in New Zealand
  • Sungard's communication team in it's Transaction Center in California
  • Project managers from the different banks in Europe (HSBC, ING and BNP) Several BIS application and infrastructure teams in Atlanta (US)

 

ŕ +/- 50 people in total

 

 

Particular challenges in this project:

  • Contractual agreements with Sungard and the banks
  • Working across multiple time zones: New-Zealand (UTC +11), Brussels/Rotterdam/Paris (UTC+1), London (UTC), Atlanta (UTC-5) and California (UTC-8)
  • Dependency on the development of a brand new software component by Sungard (Payment Hub developed in C# with .Net2)
  • Certification of this component in a Windows 2003 environment at CCE
  • Integration with existing finance and treasury systems at CCE using different kinds of technology and new communication systems at the banks
  • Following the Project Execution Lifecycle procedures set forth by the newly established Change Management Initiative at CCE.

 

Temporary assignment during this period, from march 2006 till june 2006 (awaiting the development of the Payment Hub): Project Manager for the technical cut-over of the SAP HR and Payroll implementation in the Benelux.

2001 - 2004   Business Applications Manager

Employed at Coca-Cola Enterprises Services as Business Applications Manager, reporting to the Regional IS Manager for the Benelux.

 

 

Key Responsibilities: managing information projects for the Benelux divisions within CCE Europe.

  • developing a new department within the Regional IS group the aim of which is to identify and implement projects to resolve local business information requirements
  • within the context of an ISO 9002 initiative, implementing procedures to manage these projects, in collaboration with project leaders from different business departments and Program Managers from the European IS group.
  • developing, assessing and approving Business Cases
  • analyzing, planning, developing, testing, implementing and supporting information systems in order to resolve the approved Business Cases

 

 

Some achievements from this department:

 

Outlet Business Planning: a system to calculate and control objectives for the Field Sales department of CCEB in a hierarchical way

  • Monthly Action Plan: a system enabling a structured communication and presentation of commercial agreements between CCEB and its customers at different levels of the decision making process
  • Manpower Planning: a system enabling a rational assignment of human resources to production lines within CCEB
  • Performance Appraisal Form: a system supporting the yearly performance appraisal process for all employees and blue collars of CCEB
  • Article Workflow: a workflow system supporting the process of gathering and publishing product master data and the synchronization of this data with internal and external systems (Transora datapool)
  • Acorn Profit System: a system supporting the calculation and reporting of key profitability figures by product, customer and sales channel, following time driven Activity Based Costing principles

 

 

Temporary assignment (yearly during 1 week, as Major Incident Manager of the European IS group): managing IS problems that have been escalated to major incidents

 

 

Other temporary assignments during this period:

  • Interviewing candidate consultants to provide PC training for CCE's Benelux divisions and making recommendations as to who would fit the requirements
  • Member of a workgroup making recommendations for the taxonomy and governance of a content management system (MyCCE, based on Stellent technology)
  • Member of a workgroup making recommendations for the induction program of newly hired employees in CCE's European Group
1999 - 2001   EDI Project Manager

  • benchmarking the existing logistic operations
  • optimizing the flow of finished products in the logistics network of CCE Belgium and Luxemburg, including:
  • calculating the ideal number, type and size of distribution warehouses and trucks, using a computer simulation model
  • recommending a feasible plan for implementation with corresponding savings
1994 - 1997   Central Operations Planning Manager

Employed at Coca-Cola Beverages Belgium and Coca-Cola Enterprises Belgium as Central Operations Planning Manager, reporting to the Operations Director for Belgium and later on for the Benelux.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • centralization and management of the planning activities of 3 previously independent bottlers into 1 planning department with 3 central and 6 local operations planners
  • supply of the 3 Belgian production facilities with raw and packing materials
  • production planning for 11 production lines
  • supply of 6 distribution warehouses and 1 external warehouse with finished products
