Analyst - Developer - Network technologies

Goal:
Migrate the Comptel EventLink system of Base from version 4 to version 6. This project consists of understanding old Slang code, converting it to Perl code and using new features of EventLink 6 to improve performance and exploit new functionalities.

This project is executed by an offshore team from Logica Morocco.
I went on site to train and guide the team, making sure that quality standards and deadlines are met.

Activities:
- Detailed review of design documents

- Train the Moroccan team and Atos Origin testers
- Review, estimate and implement change requests

Goal:
Migrate the Comptel EventLink system of Proximus from version 4 to version 6. This project consists of understanding old Slang code, converting it to Perl code and using new features of EventLink 6 to improve performance and exploit new functionalities.

In addition, bash scripts were made to help the team and automate some recursive tasks.

Goal:
ING Investment Management Belgium (IIM) needed to perform a full data migration of their principal server. That server is used by numerous departments and, therefore, by an impressive amount of users.

The most important reason of that migration is to increase the security and the permissions on each department folder.

In addition, the storage space became insufficient since people never delete their old unused files.

Activities:

- Create a new policy for the folders

Goal:

The work experience at the Ministry of Defence has consisted in developing an application in order to assist the operational planning of the network components of the Belgian Army.
The application is a software tool assisting in the planning of an operational network that will be deployed during military operations.

The goal is to assure the coherence of the deployed tactical intranet which will result in a significant saving in time.
