2010 -    Application Manager
As Application Manager at Taminco I am responsible for a team of 9 people supporting the main business applications (SAP, Sharepoint) for the Group with subsidaries all over the world.
2001 - 2010   Application and development Manager
  • I started in this paper and packaging group with 3000 employees and 30 companies spread all over Europe as SAP Project Manager. In this function I was responsable for the internal and external consultants (up to 30th people) involved in the implementation of the financial and logistics modules of SAP in different plants of different business units. The projects started with defining the concepts (business processes) for the different divisions (4 templates) and where followed by blueprinting, realisation, testing and go live (project methodolody from PMI was used as standard).
  • Not only my experience with implementing SAP but also my very good knowledge of business processes were a strong advantage for VPK.
  • During this period I was also involved in different logistic projects (implementation of a fully automatic warehouse, forecasting and capacity planning, implementation of a central purchasing department).

 

  • Since three years I became IT Application and development manager which broadend my responsabilities from SAP to all other softwares of the Group Standard (SAP/OMP/GREYCON/REMAX). Yearly budget for which I am responsable is about 2,5 milj. EUR and my internal team of 10 people is supported by 5 external fte's.
  • My main task is bringing more structure in the team by streamlining the processes of support and change management according to ITIL procedures and to be a gatekeeper of the project management methodology put in place. In course of this process I introduced CATS for time registration and solution manager for administrative support of the ICT processes. This enabled a better budgetting and planning of the numerous change requests and a more accurate status reporting to the business unit managers.

 

  • I am also promoting the business process approach by introducing BPMn for defining the new processes and to analyse organisational and IT impact of process changes.
1998 - 2001   SAP Business Analyst
During 3 years I worked as an internal business analyst in the SAP team. I was mainly responsable for the implementation of the logistics modules (MM/IM/WM/SD) and worked closely with the finance department, which gave me the oportunity to learn a lot of the financial accounting and controlling principles. Main tasks were business process analysis and translation of the business processes into SAP flows.

I started in the technical department as responsable for the implementation of a plant maintenance software to manage the stock of spareparts and to manage the planned maintenance of the machines. I combined this implementation with a reorganisation of the sourcing of spare parts which was translated in important cost savings. After this project I worked in the logistics department as responsable for the materials requirements planning and back up for the production planner. One of my many tasks was also the implementation of planningssoftware (OMP) to automate the production planning.
