Achievements
- Considerably reduced the ROM consumption (with 3 Kbytes) as a result of architectural optimizations in the diagnostic modules.
- I reduced the CPU load with 85% at the Production Line in order to reach the goal of 40s/ECU production time. This decreased the production time with 10%, thus saving the company a large amount of money.
- Implementing and bug-fixing the Diagnostics module for an Audi project rated with CMMI level 3.25.

Finished on the 1st position. Dissertation paper: ENVIRONMENT
A small supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system was implemented for monitoring and controlling the environment conditions for a mushroom culture over its entire cycle of production. This paper describes the architecture of the two-level distributed control system, as well as some hardware, software, and communication issues solved by the SCADA approach. Moreover, the implemented logging and control functions may be used for iterative process optimization so that the production volume to be increased.
MY FUNCTION
I was responsible for both software and hardware design. My intention was to start my own firm and sell this project as a complete automation solution. The hardware components are: multiple local controllers, 7 digital temperature sensors, 2 analog humidity sensors, 1 photo-resistor, 2 power resistors, 4 fans, 9 light bulbs, 1 valve and a CAN bus. The software modules: CAN, UART, 1 Wire Bus protocol, humidity, relays, EEPROM, time and Configuration module. The communication between the gateway and the PC is done by a costum designed request / response protocol.
