Application Team Leader for Toyota Motor Europe in the Enterprise Architecture Department since September 2006. During that period I was involved in various activities : Two month of intesive process improvement methodology training :
Process reeingeneering study in the Toyota manufacturing plant in Valencienne. Delivered recomendations for process improvement and oversaw their implementation on the shop floor. Achievements : - Reduce waiste (muda) - Reduced Process lead time. - Hands on knowlege of the Toyota Production System (TPS - a precusror of Lean Manufacturing methodology) Assignement in a business department : Contributed to a company wide activity to reduce Vehicle Delivery Lead Time. Achievements : - Identified improvement points in the business process and delivered recomandations. - Increased understanding of the added value resulting from a greater collaboration between IS and the business. User management : Delivered successfull improvements for the user management process for all the applications used within Toyota in Europe. Achievement: - 30% Reduction of the time to setup users. - Improved quality of the user database by reducing defects. - Increased knowledge of VB script and process analysis Identity management : Involved as a Lead user and Lead tester in the User Identity Management project. Coordinated testing with the different application teams to ensure quality and limit the impact on the end users. Achievements : - Responsible for creation of test plan and test cases. - Compiled test result from all applications Data modeling : Delivered data models for several small/mid size projects following Toyota standards and methodology and using the tools used in Toyota. Achievements : - Organised regular meetings with the users and the developpers to track status and identify risks. - Understanding of Data Modelling techniques (CDM, LDM, PDM) - Trained on modeling tool : PowerDesigner Failure Reduction : Participation in a company wide activity to reduce Help Desk incidents. Focussing in my areas of expertise, successfully identified problems and implemented suitable countermeasures. Responsible for training and mentoring the other members. Application developper - EDI : Responsible for different development activities, following an Agile software development method. Delivered frequent iterations according to user requirement and including proof of testing documents in the delivered packages. Achievements : - Know-how of Development best practice (Development, Testing, Production) - Successfully deployed application changes without impact to customers - Trained on the Axway Synchrony Pleatform EDI Support : Successfull optimisation the system processes and the data flows to improve quality. 3rd line support for major EDI incidents, focussing on restoring the services to reach agreed SLA (Service Level Agreement) levels. Detailed problem solving activities to eliminate problem reocurence using the PDCA (Plan Do Check Act) and the Toyota processes. Additionnaly, on call 27/7 for the support of the EDI services for the past 2 years. Achievements : - Created key incident explanation documents and presented them at board level. - Documented process changes and shared information with key users. - Improved SLA result by 30%. - Created KPI and the corresponding tracking and reports. Migration Projects : Involved in European projects regarding supplier migration across EDI platforms. Responsible for contactting suppliers, explaining changes and new process. Additionnaly trained suppliers on the technical aspects of the changes. Achievements : - Created user guides for suppliers - Created process flows for supplier communication Project Manager : Successfully delivered various small/medium size EDI projects using the Toyota project management methodology. Monitored progress according to Cost, Quality an Due date throughought the projects lifecycle. EDI Replacement Project : Involved in all stages of the project as technical project lead and secondary project manager. The aim of the project was to replace the current VAN based EDI infrastructure to an internal one in order to reduce cost, reduce processing time and increase visibility for the business teams. Participated in meetings with third party vendors and in vendor selection process.
